Ok, I know you are reading this blog post but take a moment to close your eyes. Ask yourself:
See it, feel it, visualize it.
This is the power of future visualization. This is actually one of the very first exercises we dive into in my signature Brand Authority Accelerator program, and it’s something I continue to do to this day.
The power of future visualization is unlike any other. It’s the anchor to your why, marking the beginning of your problem solving journey towards success. I’ve learned a lot through the power of visualization and wanted to share some of those lessons with you.
Visualization starts with creating your dream life in your head and heart. In order to take action upon those dreams you have to believe in them first.
I love reading books by Dr. Joe Dispenza who specializes in neuroscience, neuroplasticity, quantitative electroencephalogram measurements, mind-body medicine, and brain/heart coherence. In his book, “Breaking the Habit of Being You”, he mentions that your mind can’t actually tell the difference between what is now and what’s in the future, which means you have the ability to create what that looks like.
You’ve heard the term, sky’s the limit. But what I’ve found is that there is no limit when it comes to your future visualization. Your dreams and visualizations have the ability to go beyond the sky. You want to live in a $4,000,000 home with a mountain view? Visualize it. Dream it. Create it in your head. Write it down and look at it every single day.
If you want to impact millions with your work and speak on stages? Great, let’s visualize what that experience looks like. The key is stepping out of your comfort zone, there’s quite literally nothing out of reach.
Everything is figureoutable.
The thing with future visualization is that it can be easy to get stuck in the future state, which for some people might mean that your current reality isn’t “enough”. I encourage you to embrace your current reality as this process is a journey and not a final destination.
This tool has been one of the most powerful tools in the process of growth.
Is strategy a focus? Yes.
But is it the only part of growth? No.
